โ“ What Are RFID Tags?

RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) tags are small electronic devices that use radio waves to transmit and receive information. These tags consist of an integrated circuit (chip) and an antenna. RFID technology is commonly used for various applications, including access control systems like the one implemented in Lynnwood South Village.

Key Features of RFID Tags

๐Ÿ“ถ

Contactless

RFID tags do not require physical contact with a reader. They communicate wirelessly, making them convenient and efficient for access control.

๐Ÿ†”

Unique Identification

Each RFID tag has a unique identification number stored in its chip. This number is used to identify and grant access to authorized individuals or vehicles.

โšก

Fast and Efficient

RFID technology allows for rapid authentication. As a vehicle approaches the RFID reader, the system quickly reads the tag and grants or denies access accordingly.

๐Ÿ”’

Secure

RFID tags can be encrypted to enhance security. This ensures that only authorized users can access the designated areas.

In Lynnwood South Village, RFID tags are used to provide secure and convenient access to community premises through designated entry and exit points.
